PINE CONE LODGE consists of various sizes of new vacation homes.

BIRCH built 2017 is a studio located just 3 feet from waters edge.   Queen bed with a twin in the loft.  The home is mostly windows with great views of Big Sand Lake.   Square log construction with a corner fireplace.   So close to the water, it is described similar to a houseboat.

JUNIPER built in 2017.  Square log construction located 25 feet from the water.  Corner fireplace with 2 bedroom with a loft that overlooks Big Sand Lake.   Windows and sliding glass door provide lots of views.

HICKORY/WILLOW consists of a 3 bedroom reunion home along with a 2 bedroom guest home.   This home is located on its own lot with access to the rest of the resort.   Large porch gives space when the weather doesn’t cooperate.   Up to 19 people.   Only Hickory is available between Mid October to May 1st.   Sleeps up to 13.

SPRUCES, built in 2013, is a 5 bedroom reunion home. The loft overlooks the large great room perfect for gathering. Handicapped bedroom/bath is perfect for grandparents with its own TV and noise insulated walls. The wall of windows open up the house to the outdoors. Total of 11 beds. Kitchen has an island, two ovens and two refrigs.

PINES, built in 2010, is 35 feet from Big Sand Lake. Accommodations include up to 4 bedrooms with king and queen beds, 3 baths and complete kitchen. 2 fireplaces, TV with satellite and DVD player. One bedroom/bath is handicapped accessible with its own entrance.

DUPLEX, built in 2008, has all the comforts of home. This six bedroom home has two kitchens and two living rooms available to rent to any size of group – as a complete home or rent either side. The floor plan is designed to accommodate families with children to groups of couples looking for snowmobile trails. This home features 2 fireplaces, TVs with satellite, DVD player. Your view of this scenic lake is just 15 feet from water’s edge of Thomas Lake.

MAPLE, built in 2008, is 35 feet from Big Sand Lake. Accommodations include two bedrooms with queen beds, full bath and complete kitchen. Fireplace, TV with satellite and DVD player. Maple has its own dock.

PINE CONE LODGE AND VACATION RENTALS have access to two lakes. BIG SAND LAKE is a spring fed, sand bottom lake with 600 feet of sandy beach fronting Pine Cone Lodge. It is the best lake for swimming, boating, and fishing for walleye or northern pike. The ideal sand beach with a gradual drop off is perfect for kids. THOMAS LAKE OR LOON LAKE is shallower and has more cover for fish, ideal for bass and pan fish. Great scenery!! Take out the canoe or kayaks! There is a total of 5-6 acres of land for 2000 feet of lakeshore.

Located 7 miles NE of Park Rapid / 2 miles N of Dorset with the Heartland Trail / 1 mile W of Zorbaz Restaurant.

Pine Cone Lodge has been in the Brand family since 1961. Dr. Earl Brand bought the resort after vacationing there with his family. His son, Jeff and Jane operated the resort. Now the third generation continues to provide new homes for family vacations.
