West Crooked Lake Resort

West Crooked Lake Resort, nestled along 1000 feet of lakeshore, is a family-friendly, pet friendly resort. We are located in the Paul Bunyan State Forest, surrounded by towering pines on West Crooked Lake in Nevis, MN. The cabins sit on spacious grounds overlooking a secluded, crystal-clear, beautiful lake. While our location is quiet and serene, we are only 7 mile NW of Nevis, MN, 15 miles NE of Park Rapids, MN and 15 miles SW of Walker, MN. Opportunities for shopping, dining, and recreation are plentiful.

Area Attractions 

Many area attractions are just minutes from the resort. Biking/walking trails, golf courses, casinos, challenge course, a local winery, horseback riding, shopping and restaurants are just a few of the attractions you will find. In addition, the Headwaters of the Mississippi in Itasca State Park is just 30 minutes from the resort. ATV riders enjoy hundreds of miles of trails in the Park Rapids Lakes Area, bringing them closer to nature’s beauty in remote areas others often don’t see. Local clubs maintain two primary trails in our area, which are connected with miles of trails along county highways/byways.  Drive your ATV directly to the trails from our resort.

You can enjoy sun bathing on the sandy beach, swimming in the clear water, playing on the Rave water trampoline, or reading a book in the shade.  Get out on the lake in our paddle boats, paddleboards, kayaks and canoe available free of charge.  We have fishing and pontoon boats available to rent, so you can further explore West Crooked Lake. Come enjoy the wildlife on the lake, including eagles and an abundance of loons.  Listen to the call of the loons in the evenings as you are winding down your day on the lake.

West and Middle Crooked Lakes are part of the famous Mantrap chain of lakes – the very heart of Northern Minnesota’s finest fishing country. Fish to catch in West Crooked Lake include Northern, Walleye, Bass and Panfish. You can fish right off the dock at the resort or venture out to the many inlets on this quiet lake. When on the lake, you will often find yourself enjoying the tranquil beauty of West Crooked Lake with no other boats in sight.

We offer 5 cabins, 2 RV rentals, a tiny (cabin) house and a seasonal campground. Our cabins are very clean and well maintained. Each cabin has a beautiful view of West Crooked Lake and a picnic table, grill, lawn chairs, private fire pit (firewood sold on site).  The kitchens are stocked with dishes, glasses, silverware, utensils, pots/pans, bowls. Additionally, there is a microwave, stove, refrigerator, coffee maker, and toaster. Beds are provided with linens, blankets, bedspread and pillows. We also supply kitchen linens and bath towels for your stay.  In addition, we have high chairs or boosters in every cabin and pack n plays available upon request.  See more information about what we provide in our cabins.
