Dickerson’s Lake Florida Resort-Spicer,MN

Celebrating 100 YEARS in 2024! Dickerson’s Lake Florida Resort is a 13 cabin, beach resort located near Spicer, New London & Willmar, MN in Kandiyohi County. Dickerson’s is one of the only 4th generation family owned resorts in MN. It was started in 1924 by Jens & Emma Larson, Bob’s great-grandparents. In 1943 Bob’s grandparents took over & ran it until Bob’s parents bought it in 1946. In 1976 Bob bought the resort from them. We take great pride in our resort and are constantly changing and remodeling to meet the needs of our guests. Though many things have changed the concept remains the same .. to do our best to make sure you & your family have a fun, memorable vacation with us.

The cottages are all well equipped for your convenience. Each one has: Refrigerator, Stove, Mixing/Serving Bowls, Hot Air Corn Popper, Silverware, Dishes, Microwave, Automatic Coffee Maker, Pots & Pans, Toaster & AM/FM Clock Radio.

Bed linens are provided. If you are planning to use a hide-a-bed, you must bring your own bedding. You must bring your own towels for the kitchen & bathroom. All cabins have a patio deck,picnic table and 2 chairs.

Our beautiful sand beach and clear water are second to none in the area and provide the basis for most of the activity at Dickerson’s. On the beach we have chaise lounges, a jungle gym, paddle boat, RAVE, Lily pad, kayaks, canoes, fun bugs, inner tubes, a water slide, hydo-bikes, water volleyball. All of these, plus bicycles & trikes are free of charge. On Sunday morning we serve fresh, homemade donuts, coffee and juice to all of our guests. It’s our treat and gives us all a chance to get better acquainted. Monday night is our resort Pizza Picnic. Everyone is invited to join us. You bring your beverage and we’ll serve all of the pizza. It’s fun and the pizza is delicious. On Thursday evening we have a hayride for the children followed by a campfire and marshmallow roasting for all. We welcome you to have campfires at other times too. If you have a guitar we’d love to have you bring it along
